The EC-1’s development began with the acclaimed single moving head algorithm from our legendary El Capistan pedal, renowned for its lifelike tape echo reproduction. Our journey led us to a rare, meticulously maintained Echoplex EP-2, enhanced by master technician Cesar Diaz. Featuring refined tube preamp modifications, this unit combined the best characteristics of multiple vintage Echoplex models, serving as the foundation for EC-1’s nostalgic yet pristine sound.
