Dynamic Keyboard Design

Equipped with a 61-note (5-octave) velocity-sensitive keyboard, pitch-bend and modulation wheels, and a footswitch socket, the GX61 offers an expressive and responsive playing experience. Multi-colored octave buttons allow quick shifting of the keyboard range (-3/+4 octaves), with LED indicators showing the current range status.

Enhanced MIDI Control

Transpose buttons provide +/-12 semitone shifts and can also be reassigned for global MIDI channel changes or program messages. A single assignable potentiometer lets you control any MIDI parameter, with volume control as its default function.

Seamless DAW Integration

Nektar DAW Integration unlocks an extended feature set, giving users the freedom to compose and perform without relying heavily on a mouse. With pre-mapped controls for many popular DAWs, users can easily manage transport functions, track navigation, volume control, patch changes, and window launches directly from the GX61.

Transport Control

At the heart of the GX61 are eight transport buttons, designed for essential DAW tasks such as playback, track selection, and setting locators. For unsupported DAWs, these buttons can be assigned to MIDI messages, offering 14 programmable options for greater flexibility.

MIDI Flexibility & Setup

As a MIDI controller, the GX61 provides complete customization for any MIDI software. Assign MIDI CC messages, program changes, or MMC transport controls to the 14 assignable buttons, modulation wheel, or footswitch. The setup menu also supports advanced features such as bank and program changes and customizable velocity curves.

Connectivity & iOS Compatibility

The Impact GX61 is a class-compliant USB device, compatible with Windows, macOS, Linux, and even iPads via an optional USB camera connection kit. It’s USB-powered, making it ideal for music creation on the go.

Bitwig 8-Track Included

Every Impact GX61 includes Bitwig 8-Track, a versatile DAW offering over 50 instruments and effects, support for third-party VSTs, and the Bitwig Essentials Package of loops and samples.
