It can operate in feed-forward or feed-back mode for modern precision or vintage musicality.

 

Flexible Compression Options:

Switchable Peak/RMS detection allows the VCA to respond to either perceived loudness (RMS) or waveform transients (Peak), offering both subtle level control and brickwall limiting. The FF/FB modes further expand tone shaping, providing smoother or more responsive compression depending on your mix needs.

 

Versatile & Musical:

The 543 can also act as a high-performance line amplifier when compression is bypassed, and two units can be stereo-linked. Attack and release times are adjustable for natural or aggressive control, avoiding unwanted artifacts like pumping or overshoot.
