Powered by Strymon’s meticulously crafted dTape algorithm, EC-1 recreates the warmth, saturation, modulation and organic imperfections of a vintage tape echo, from classic slapback to expansive, self-oscillating echo textures.

EC-1 combines a detailed tape echo experience with selectable tube-modeled preamp voices, adjustable Tape Age and Mechanics controls, and Low/Medium/High Record Level settings for everything from clean repeats to heavily saturated echoes. Its compact stereo design supports Mono In/Mono Out, Mono In/Stereo Out and Stereo In/Stereo Out operation.

With artifact-free Tap Tempo, four selectable tap divisions, expression pedal support, full MIDI control and up to 300 presets, EC-1 delivers extensive control in a compact, rugged enclosure. A high-impedance Class A JFET input stage and 24-bit/96kHz converters ensure excellent dynamics, clarity and low-noise performance.
